WI Counts Convening: Help Make WI #1 in 2020 Census!
When: Thursday, September 5th 11:30am – 4:00pm
Where: United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County, 200 W. Pleasant St., Milwaukee, WI 53212, Volunteer Rooms 2 & 3
What: Learn how your organization can plug into outreach, field, and online strategies to get out the count in the 2020 Census.
Who: Nonprofits, Philanthropic organizations, Business leaders, Elected Officials, and members of the public are welcome.
Why: You Count. Our Communities Count. It is up to US to get out the count in 2020.
African American Roundtable – #LiberateMKE Campaign Survey
The African American Roundtable along with many community and civic partners launched a campaign #LiberateMKE to ensure that the City of Milwaukee 2020 budget reflects what community members want, not what politicians think they need. Budgets are moral documents. Where you place your money is what you value.

Fair Maps Organizer will lead our strategic campaign activities, primarily by building and maintaining activists and alliances among key actors throughout the state.
The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to foster coordination and cooperation among diverse – and even competing – groups. They will be committed to getting results in a fast-paced environment and able to handle a heavy workload without dropping the ball. This position is an opportunity to engage with policy makers, statewide organizations, grassroots activist, and constituents to help bring about real legislative change.

Organizing Empowerment is Hiring
Organizing Empowerment is seeking a Coaching Specialist and an Administrative Assistant. The goal of the Organizing Empowerment is to help organizations understand the principles of relational organizing and have the skills, software, and financial support to be successful in their own organizing work.
Coaching Specialist – This person will serve as a Coaching Specialist to the Organizing Empowerment Project with an emphasis on preparing training documents and participating in training webinars with organizations and partners.

Citizen Action is Hiring
Citizen Action of Wisconsin seeks a Co-Op Organizer for Northwestern and Southeastern Wisconsin. Co-Op Organizer must be a dynamic and socially committed person to join our organizing team and lead an innovative multi-issue membership organizing project. This is a full time (40-50 hrs/week) salaried permanent position located in Milwaukee. Some evenings and weekends required, as well as in-state travel and occasional out-of-state travel.
This position involves organizing, maintaining, and growing a critical mass of dues-paying supporters in our locally based, member-led co-op model. The Co-op Organizer together with member-leaders and Citizen Action staff will advance diverse issue and electoral campaigns that have real impact on their community and make large scale changes in Wisconsin to open up opportunity for all. The position includes a 6 month training and trial period.

WAVE is Hiring
WAVE is seeking a Program and Outreach Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging, motivating and mobilizing our supporters and other citizens. You will create and lead impactful programs and activities that will empower others to become change agents. This is currently a part-time position (approximately 20 hours per week).
