We need your help! League of Women Voters Wisconsin is recruiting volunteers from across the state to serve as election observers during the April 7 Election. Volunteer Election Observers help ensure we have a fair election by watching for signs of voter disenfranchisement and intimidation and by monitoring the way Wisconsin’s election laws and procedures are being applied. Even if you only have a couple of hours on Election Day, you can still make a difference.

Outreach Director will have a proven ability to manage projects, produce projects, and prioritize projects with respectful and clear communication. They will be committed to elevating clear best practices and tangible steps to take for impact in areas of civic engagement Wisconsin Voices anchors. This position is an opportunity to engage with national organizations, current Wisconsin Voices partners, and very grassroots groups. Salary: $59,000 – $63,000 annually along with a benefits package including medical, vision, dental, 401(k), and more. This position goes through December of 2020. Data and Technology Manager will be responsible for providing training and support for partner organizations to take a data-driven approach to integrating voter contact tools into their organizing and voter outreach work. The Data Director/Manager also supports their staff by using data to inform the collective strategic planning process. The Data Director/Manager serves at the direction of the Wisconsin Voices Program Director. Salary: for Manager is $60,000 – $69,000 and $50,000 – $57,000 for Director along with a benefits package including medical, vision, dental, 401(k), and more. Voter Registration Quality Control Coordinator will administer Blocks & the Wisconsin Voter App, the database that we use to track voter registration & the app we use to complete voter registration in Wisconsin.* The primary roles of this position are a) to help administer the Blocks database and manage the quality control process which includes tracking and verifying voter registration data, and b) supporting the manager in a smooth interaction of the Wisconsin Voter App and Blocks. This role will also have a leading role in maintaining our voter registration data and training, and supporting our partner organizations as they use Blocks and other tools and technology to improve the efficacy of their voter registration work. This position reports to the Data and Program Director. Salary: $40,000-48,000 annually along with a benefits package including medical, vision, dental, 401(k), and more. Voter Registration Campaign Manager will assist Wisconsin Voices partners in conducting non-partisan voter registration programs that meet the highest possible standards. This position is also responsible for maintaining relationships with organizations engaging in non-partisan civic engagement in communities of color. The primary roles of this position are a) overall program alignment and statewide coordination, b) conduct trainings, field visits and check ins, and c) be the liaison between our national partner, Everybody Votes, Wisconsin Voices, and its partners. The position reports to the Data and Program Director and works in conjunction with the Voter Registration Database Administrator. Salary: $50,000- $62,000 annually along with a benefits package including medical, vision, dental, 401(k), and more. African American Roundtable
Canvassers African American Roundtable is looking for dedicated and energized Canvassers to join our team to expand our outreach in the community with a focus on the 2020 Census and Spring elections. The ideal persons should have community engagement experience. Canvassers will have meaningful conversations in the community to engage residents and activists on local elections and the census. All work must be tracked and accounted for. This position will not require you to ask for donations or make sales pitches. There will be training and skill development opportunities for those interested in building their skill sets in community engagement, grassroots activity on legislative issues, and electoral action. This is a limited-term position that will last for 10 weeks. Salary: The hourly rate is $16/hour and gas stipends will be available. This position tentatively starts February 20, 2020 and ends April 23, 2020. The position is for 25-30 hours a week. Position is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and reports to the Lead Organizer. 9to5, National Association of Working Women seeks an experienced bi-lingual (English/Spanish) Digital Organizer II for the Wisconsin chapter. This organizer will primarily work in Racine and Milwaukee working on our statewide paid family and medical leave insurance (FAMLI) campaign, childcare campaign, census and voter engagement work. The work includes member and leader development and civic engagement efforts. Candidates should have deep, proven roots in the social media sphere and understand how to disseminate content for maximum impact. The Progressive magazine is seeking an industrious Office Manager to join our business team in publishing this historic, nationally-read print and online magazine. The office manager works under the direction of the publisher and the editor-in-chief. They perform duties as required to maintain smooth functioning of the office, including acting as front-desk receptionist, staffing phones, maintaining office equipment, handling mail, and organizing reports for the Board of Directors and for the Progressive Media Project. The office manager coordinates events in conjunction with other business staff, including Progressive Media Project workshops, Fighting Bob Fest events, and fundraisers. They maintain calendars of key projects for the organization, publisher, and editor, and assist with projects and correspondence as needed and directed. This is a full-time, union-salaried position based in Madison, Wisconsin. Compensation package includes: Starting salary $32,000 annually, fully covered health insurance, plus a generous vacation and 401K plan.
